It is not uncommon for people to spend their whole life waiting to start living. ~Eckhart Tolle
In the last three weeks, I feel like I've been living my life, relaxing, eating, drinking, falling in love, hiking, watching movies on VHS, conversing, and not being on the interwebs. Or answering those questions I said I would back in December. Last night I took a quiet chance to complete what I committed to. Instead of answering them all for you to see, I want to pick out the most eye-opening ones that I came across. Maybe they make you think about your life too?!
When did I feel most creatively inspired?
When the possibilities are endless! I'm constantly inspired when there are no barriers or obstacles in my way. The funny thing is that I usually create those barriers, they're made up, a fabrication of my own mind. Which awesomely means that I have the ability to be creatively inspired ALL the time. I'm making a dedication with a few girl friends to have a Create Date once a month to spend time together and get creative so these juices can keep flowing.
How have I procrastinated?
I get a fire under my rump and then lose it shortly after. (I then asked my own question "What causes me to procrastinate?") I came up with these reasons:
When have I felt the most alive? (This one was my favorite question out of the 25)
...after answering this, I started to contemplate how I can incorporate more of these items in my daily life...
In chronological order:
What old habits would I like to release?
Eating while standing up, being on my phone while driving, dairy
What new habits would I like to cultivate?
Oil pulling, dry brushing, paying attention to my budget...for real this time!
This practice guided me to make my sankalpa, or intention, for this year. I highly recommend reflecting on the past, so you can live freely and consciously in the present and future!
I am on the journey to create joy and live with full happiness. And my wish for you is to do the same!
