The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot. ~ Michael Altshuler
8. How did I spend my free time?
While living in 2013, I don't feel like I had that much spare time. Giving myself time to reflect on how I spent my time, gives me a greater understanding of where it all went.
Spiritually: I spent my spare time practicing yoga and meditation, teaching 506 classes, leading 4 retreats and falling in love with yoga nidra and my breath.
Personally: I loved being spontaneous with my sweetie while checking out new restaurants and tasting yummy ciders. Falling in love with Sean over and over and realizing that love can get better and Better! Oh and proposing! I want this relationship to continue to grow forever.
FUN! I went to Hawaii twice within one month, went kayaking twice in the San Juan Islands, went for my first multi-night backpacking trip, sat naked in hot springs, danced and celebrated good friends often.
Healthfully: I completed a month long cleanse in January, 4 three day cleanses, removed gluten and most cheese from my system, drank more hot water than I've bathed in, and now drink more tea than I used to. I've never felt so consistently healthy in my entire life. I love listening to my body.
What kept me from using my spare time wisely? I found myself preparing for the future. A lot. Which brought a feeling of anxiety about what was to come. Rather than being in the moment and feeling that I was choosing these moments in time. Reminder to myself: Choose to be where you are. You always have a choice!
I am on the journey to create joy and live with full happiness. And my wish for you is to do the same!
