"Inspiration is never far away, nor is it something you have to create. Your soul is boundlessly impassioned and always prepared to impart to you whatever you need to thrive."
~ Rod Stryker
I was reminded about the sweetness of life this weekend. Do you ever have those moments that you feel totally alive, totally on the right path, surrounded by people who are authentic and bring out your own authenticity?! I hope so as I got a sweet taste of that this weekend, and it was incredible.
Friday night, Sean and I attended the Cider Summit in South Lake Union, where we sampled over 20 ciders, literally tasting the sweetness this world has to offer. Being gluten-free for a couple of years, I've taken to the fermented apple and pear choices offered in restaurants & bars. Through all the tastings, I found my absolute favorite: @seattleciderco 's Gin Botanicals Cider. It was crisp, clean, not too sweet, not too dry, bubbly to perfection! Needless to say I wanted to know where I could find this...and to my understanding it is only offered in a very select few restaurants. I'm hoping Capitol Cider will carry it soon!
Then we rode our bikes to Fremont for the Inkasana book release, where I'm featured in a couple of the photos! Building community around combining passions is something that I've started to love in the last couple of years. Thank you Erika, for sharing your passions and letting me be involved! So honored!!
Saturday was a day of more cider (I had to go back for more of Gin Botanicals Cider) with dear and new friends and then spending some sweet time alone. I read a quote this weekend that resonated so deeply...
"To be bored is an insult to yourself." ~ Jules Renard
So true! If you like hanging out with yourself, then boredom is never an issue, right?!. There is something about nurturing your own soul, whether it is reading a good book, drinking warm tea, or even organizing, that no one else can provide you. A sense of inspiration from within, to stay happy and content with what you've got. This feeling was amplified on Sunday, when I got to practice a 90-minute yoga class at Salt Room Yoga, giving energy back to myself to be in my body. Just what a needed before reconnecting with good friends for intentional conversations!
Keep the sweetness coming, life!
I am on the journey to create joy and live with full happiness. And my wish for you is to do the same!
