Even though Mercury is in Retrograde, this week has proven to be inspiring. It feels like I'm moving forward in a direction that feels more authentic than ever. During this week, my weekly yoga uniQue events have come to an end, which means that I have an evening free (every week!) for the first time in about 3 years. The freedom that comes with that has opened up many doors, already! Not that I'm looking to fill up that empty space, quite the opposite actually. The extra time will be spent towards svadhyaya (self-knowledge), intentionally building my relationship with Sean, and building a business that I can stand behind whole-heartedly. I know starting something new while mercury is moving backwards is not advised, however before actually starting something new, I'm going to follow Susan Miller's advice:
Now is also a good time to dress old wounds, clean up relationships or to simply bury the hatchet. Some people have great breakthroughs in psychotherapy during a Mercury retrograde period. It is a perfect time to schedule work on projects that you haven't had time to do and you've let pile up. Bring your resume or portfolio up to date, and clean out your closets.
I feel like I have been searching for the perfect time or the perfect "thing" to help me get to a space where I'm following my passion, but also creates a financially stable situation. These next three weeks seem to be it! While reading Tiny Buddha earlier this week, I came across a blog post that spoke directly to me - When Following Your Passion Makes You Miserable. Not that I've been miserable, but it has been an uphill struggle for the last couple of years. I read the ENTIRE article, something that I rarely do, and at the end of it, I wanted to know more. So I downloaded Henri Junttila's 7 Steps to Building a Lifestyle Business, see attachment below. Not knowing what he considered a "lifestyle business," I was interested from the beginning.
This guide made me think about building a business in a different way. I started thinking about how I can use the skills and tools that I have right now, to share my knowledge in order to help people create freedom for their physical (annamaya kosha), energetic (pranamaya kosha) and emotional (manomaya kosha) potential. What I want to create is a business around unblocking congestion around these sheaths.
Because I'm at the beginning stages of thinking this through, I would love for you to help me out. For me to feel like I am providing a benefit to you and my potential clients from the future, can I ask you a question? Here it is:
Given the above Kosha information, what difficulties are you facing in your life right now?
Please comment below or send me a personal email (firstname.lastname@example.org) right away. Every reply means so much to me and please know that I will keep your response confidential.
It's been a long time since I've been so inspired to create something from the ground up. Even though I'm looking forward to new beginnings, for now I will be concentrating on slowing down and taking time to work on rebuilding my "Lifestyle Business." Thank you for your support and love!
Can't wait to share my knowledge with you!
I am on the journey to create joy and live with full happiness. And my wish for you is to do the same!
