You know that moment when clarity happens? When the dark days that linger with a lack of inspiration suddenly part and the skies rain down with ideas and encourage you to get off your ass and move? Hopping, skipping, jumping in a direction that lights up your eyes and puts a pep in your step? I bet you do. Those days feel amazing, don't they?
Well, I had one of those days this week! WOOHOO!
Since the fall, I've not put much energy into my coaching practice. Actually, that's putting it nicely. I pretty much gave up on it. Not wanting to work as hard as I think I'll have to work to make it happen. Not feeling supported in ways that I want to be supported. Believing that it needs to fall into place easily, or it's not worth the effort.
After re-visiting The Big Leap, I realized (again) that I was creating my own problem. I am holding myself back. Creating my own stagnation. Never easy work to do, but oh so necessary in order to move through what's in the way. I drilled into what I love to do, first for myself, and then what I truly love coaching clients on. And I found some answers. At least they're my answers for now. If these sound like something you want to have a conversation about, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here for you!
One of my all time favorite past times is creating without inhibitions, rules, or restrictions. Sitting down to color, paint, or make jewelry without expectations of how it will turn out, or how long it will take me. This is me at my best. Trusting the relationship that I have with said creation that it will turn out perfectly...even when it may not be "perfect." This mentality shines through in other areas of my life as well. Like in my relationship to food. I trust when I'm hungry. When I want certain foods. And how much to eat. It hasn't always been like this, but after years of curiosity, asking those tough questions and truly listening, I'm finally in a place where I trust my body and its messages.
Create Your Own Rules
The exact thing that I'm doing when I am trusting myself is breaking free from how things have always been done. I have an aversion to following rules that don't make sense to me. As in, if you tell me not to do something (like jay walk in front of a police station when there aren't any cars coming, like I did this morning) I'm going to most likely do it - like I did this morning. I am the boss of my life. Ask my parents! They'll say that has been the case since a very young age. Because I trust myself, I then have space to make my own rules, that fit me, that make sense to me, that keep me free, and that keep me embodying my natural vibration. I recently realized that Revive Your Day is all about creating your own rules. Setting up your day in a way to fit you, that makes sense to you, to keep you free, and keep you embodying your natural vibration.
The patterns and habits that hold me back on a regular basis are ones that I'm so familiar with, that most often I don't even acknowledge them until it's too late. They sound like this...
"If I take on more, then I'll lose my freedom."
What I'm realizing these excuses are, are just me standing, very sturdily, in my own way. I find that I hear these excuses when I'm following the rules of other people or when I've lost a sense to trust within myself. It's all so connected! When I trust my path and follow my own rules, then excuses astonishingly disappear.
I want you to be inspired by your life on a daily basis. How can I support you?
I am on the journey to create joy and live with full happiness. And my wish for you is to do the same!
