When you become comfortable with uncertainty, infinite possibilities open up in your life.
The "East Side." I'm not talking about the east coast...or even the east side of Washington State. But the east side of Lake Washington, where Redmond and Woodinville intertwine, in unincorporated King Country, and where I will be settling down, changing a life that I've built in the urban environment, and creating new opportunities for a life that I love and a career that will fulfill my life's purpose.
Having lived in Seattle for almost 10 year, exactly, I never imagined that I would would call the east side my home. In the next eight months, Sean and I will make the transition to creating a home in the house that he grew up in.
As we are getting ready for this shift, we have been spending more time out there, learning about the area. Bike riding on new-to-me trails. Visiting farms. Mini-golfing. Watching families of hummingbirds drink from their sugar watering holes. Visualizing our space together. Visualizing my new space for an Urban, or I guess Suburban Retreat Center. I took some time last weekend to break the space in. Movement. Meditation. Choosing wood flooring. Examining color hues. Dreaming of the perfect altar pieces. This is the first step to my larger manifestation of day retreats being held in this new space. Here we will focus on mindful eating, self-care, and of course some yoga! I want to create this sacred place as a way for those who lead busy lives, that aren't always able to spend the money or time on larger yoga vacations, to give back to themselves anyway. Want to be on this visual journey with me? Find a collection of all things inspiring me on my Pinterest Board - Urban Retreat. I'll be posting pictures of the process, so stay tuned for the transformation!
This is reminding me how to be patient. How to breathe and enjoy the process. Eight months time is a long period to be in transition, but as I ride my breath, I ride the wave of this journey with immense gratitude, excitement, and a "Team So Stoked" attitude!
Come with me on this adventure!
I am on the journey to create joy and live with full happiness. And my wish for you is to do the same!
