"The 3-day cleanse & the the following weeks as we added foods back and received nutritional guidance from Emily & the support of our cleansing group provided a life changing experience for me. It was the right time for me, the beginning of a new year & I felt the need for a "Jump start" in my nutritional & exercise programs to lose 12 lbs. that had been hanging on for a year. While not really overweight I was feeling discouraged & less energetic.
The 3-day cleanse went by quickly & it was a joy to try some vegan recipes that were completely new to me & were delicious. It was fun to shop for new ingredients at new stores like PCC & natural food sections of Whole Foods. I thought it would be difficult to give up sugar, caffeine & dairy products. With Emily's great knowledge & support I learned to drink hot water with lemon & to be sure to hydrate & therefore never experienced the dreaded no caffeine headache. I then added a packet of Stevia & enjoyed a hot lemonade drink in addition to my herbal teas never missing coffee or the milk I enjoyed in my lattes. The grains, vegetables & fruit tasted great & were very filling. While I never craved sugar or sweets I grew to love dried cherries! Other foods tasted much better when I gave up sugar. Group support was very helpful to me & an added bonus was that in our group Emily also participated in the cleanse with us.
In addition I was able to lose several pounds each week effortlessly & that kept me motivated! Whenever I felt ever so slightly deprived I remembered how great I felt, had much more energy & clarity to focus & moved on. I was literally on fire - getting lots more done in a day & felt happy & proud of my decision to stick with the cleanse. My body responded so positively to the foods that I never experienced an allergic reaction. This is because Emily is a certified nutritional counselor & has the knowledge to introduce slowly less reactive foods. If one of our group members did experience an allergic reaction Emily told them to remove that food for 3 days & carefully reintroduce it. Her expertise, knowledge & support were the key elements for a fun & successful cleansing experience.
I would highly recommend giving this cleanse a try with Emily because whether you chose to participate in a group or work individually with her if you are ready you will be successful! You will learn valuable nutritional information & experience what foods really work for your body & what foods to modify or avoid.
